Navi Pillay wins the Nobel Peace Prize for 2026

What a lovely choice for the Nobel Peace Prize! Little Norway’s Nobel Committee sends a message to the big and mighty: nobody is above the law.

Navi Pillay, a slight woman from South Africa, has shown the strength to challenge power and stand beside its victims. Now she takes centre stage, alongside the international law so many powerful leaders have spent recent years trying to bury.

There is something delicious about this choice. While the mighty parade their armies, threats, and egos, the spotlight falls on a woman whose authority rests on courage, integrity, and justice.

Congratulations to Navi Pillay—and to the Norwegian Nobel Committee for reminding the world that might does not make right.
