With a new team of editors being formed, we would like to streamline how members can submit their own articles for posting. It is easier than you think. Here is what you need to do.
- Prepare a new email with the content of your article, as you would like it to appear in the blog.
- The subject line of the email should be the title of your article, such as: “Title by Your-Name”.
- The body of email should contain the text. Do not use any fancy fonts, and do not use indents or other formatting tools. You can use bold face and italics.
- You can insert up to two images in that email. Each one must not exceed 1 MB in size. One image could be your selfie, and the other one (if needed) anything related to the content of your article. In the published article the first picture will appear as the image that shows in the listing of the blog articles.
- Send the email to: xunicef.news.views.submit@blogger.com and also to xunicef.news.views@gmail.com . (Note the "submit" in the first email address)
Your article may appear on the blog within one or two days, as the editor’s will still have to do some minor coding work.
Simply try it out. We always can correct any mistakes, even if the articles has already been published.
We look forward to your contributions.
Important Notes:
- Make sure that no image is larger than 1 Mb
- Do not insert more than 2 images, as it will not work.
- If you wish to include more than 2 images, write to the editors: xunicef.news.views@gmail.com.
- Write to the editors, if you encounter any problems.

You can also include a hyperlink in your text
ReplyDeleteClick the label "Tip" at the end of the above article. It will take you to our previous tips on how to make the most of reading and enjoying the XUNICEF blog
ReplyDeleteI just submitted an article/announcement on the site, I have never experienced anything that was easier. I contacted the editors, Detlef replied with instructions, next thing I know the post was done. I encourage everyone to go ahead and write, blog, vent, rant or whatever they feel will be useful to us. Easy peasy!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the incoming Editorial Group. You have a hard act to follow because the - just about retired Editors - have universally been helpful. Looking at what you have posted already encourages me - and I hope others - to submit articles.
ReplyDeleteMy role in XUNICEF seems to have been one of bringing a bit of light relief to the blog. I'm wondering who will take over, as I am slowing down ? I'll be watching to see who takes up the baton. . . .because UNICEF has always been a rich vein of the utterly ridiculous. More examples of AI (Absolute Idiots) needed. . . . .
