The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund remains financially strong and steadfast in its mission to ensure pension security to those we serve. Regular actuarial studies confirm that the Fund can meet all its obligations to current and future beneficiaries well into the future.

Retirees and beneficiaries: mailing of 2025 statements of benefits

Printed versions of the statements of benefits, covering the tax periods from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, are starting to be dispatched by postal mail to retirees and beneficiaries who have requested this service. Those who have a Member Self-Service (MSS) account can view and download it directly inside their MSS under the ‘Documents’ tab.

Retirees and beneficiaries: you can issue your 2026 Certificate of Entitlement with the Digital Certificate of Entitlement app from 2 January 2026

Each year, retirees and beneficiaries must send the Fund their proof of life and location, the Certificate of Entitlement (CE). This can be done using the paper-based CE or the Digital CE app.

General Assembly approves 2026 budget for UN Joint Staff Pension Fund

The General Assembly has adopted a resolution on the administrative expenses of the UNJSPF for 2026, under its agenda on the proposed programme budget. The Assembly reaffirmed its oversight role and endorsed recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions subject to the present resolution, noting improvements in administrative efficiency and urging continued modernization of pension services.

In 2025, the UNJSPF continued its commitment to client engagement and access to relevant pension information for all members through its pension townhall initiative. These sessions provide an invaluable opportunity for participants, retirees, and beneficiaries to learn more about their pension benefits and ask questions directly to UNJSPF experts.

UNJSPF and partners showcase responsible digital innovation at WSIS+20 side event

The UNJSPF, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations International Computing Centre, hosted a high-profile side event at the WSIS+20 UNGA High-Level Meeting: “From high-level principles to reality: a multi-UN entities partnership as a blueprint for responsible digital innovation.”
