Paul Hoeffel and I toasted our retirement and the sale of Rain Barrel Communications last night.
It has been a good ride, sometimes a rough ride, doing challenging development work in communities around the world for the past 17 years, mostly in partnership with UNICEF and other UN agencies.
Dear colleagues and friends Tomas Jensen, Waithira Gikonyo, Mario Mosquera and Andrea Brandt and many of our 80+ associates will now take the work forward as Rain Barrel Labs, based in Australia, with the same values and some exciting new directions.
Warmest gratitude and respect to the people and communities we have worked with and learned from, to our clients and team members.

BRAVO BOB for the successful manner in which you tailored your second career. You proved that there is "life after UNICEF" in a very meaningful way. I did not know your partner Paul but followed the Rain Barrel activities through other colleagues who cooperated with you. You can now rest on your laurels and enjoy LIFE ! Regards.
