The inauguration of the new Cairo Museum is something else ,! It beats the openings of the Olympics and other international events, it beats the British royal family events of coronations et. and the Super Bowl's half- time show.

 
Truly Egypt must be congratulated on this one-in-a-lifetime spectacle. The setting and the Museum itself are great but modern technology takes us to all other famous Egyptian historical location, a travelogue cum artistic creativity all surrounded by glorious music, dancing and singing….a feast like I have never seen before.

Editor's Note: The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) had its official inauguration ceremony on November 1, 2025, with the full public opening to the public taking place on November 4, 2025. A 'soft opening' took place in 2024, allowing access to some parts of the museum, but the November opening marked the completion of the entire complex, including the Tutankhamun galleries.
