"SPRINGING" INTO NEW ART (by Myra Rudin)

Along with seasonal blooms, blossoms, and parades, spring also brings a variety of new art exhibitions to NYC. Currently, among others, one can find Sargent & Paris at The Met, Hilma af Klint at MoMA, a variety of photography, as well as recognized and new artists at the many smaller galleries around town. Auction houses also "spring" into action with major presentations (both Warhol and Giacometti items failed to sell).

Always interesting, the rotating art along Park Avenue has just opened with a new exhibit called "Fragile Giants" by French animal sculptor Michel Bassompierre. They're big! ....

  1. Hi Myra, beautiful shots. Glad you keep enjoying NYC! I signed in as anonymous - it was easier; but, you'll know who I am. Greetings from Madrid, Spain!

  3. Impressive sculptures. Thanks, Myra, for reporting on the art scene. Reminds me of 2000 and the very colorful Cow parade. Keep reporting, please.
