Gaza - A Powerful Op-ed by Heads of 6 Humanitarian Organizations - "the US must change course" : Kul Gautam
A powerful & heartfelt appeal to President Biden by the heads of 6 large humanitarian organizations: CARE, Mercy Corps, NRC, OXFAM, Refugee International and Save the Children.
Issued on December 11, coinciding with the 77th anniversary of UNICEF, this statement echoes the views and sentiments of many other UN & international relief organizations that are guided by international humanitarian laws and human rights principles.
They say:
"In no other war we can think of in this century have civilians been so trapped, without any avenue or option to escape to save themselves and their children... It is not a path to accountability, healing or peace.
"If this relentless bombardment and siege continues, there will be no “day after” for Gaza.
"So far, American diplomacy in this war has not delivered on the goals President Biden has conveyed: protection of innocent civilians, adherence to humanitarian law, more aid delivery.
"A significant change in approach from the U.S. government is needed today to pull Gaza back from this abyss".

An article in The NY Times today brings tears to my eyes and wonder what has happen to humanity. As always children’s/women/families wear to be the designated victims
