Christiane Amanpour Interview with Siamak Namazi : CNN / Robert Cohen

Dear friends,

It is hard to believe this was possible, but Siamak's courage made this interview from the notorious Evin prison possible. It is an extraordinary plea to President Biden. It breaks your heart to hear what Siamak has been through for seven years and how he was left behind when other American hostages were released.

Siamak pays tribute to his father Baquer, our dear UNICEF colleague. Let us hope and pray that Biden -- and the Iranian regime -- allows Siamak and the other two American prisoners to come home. Please listen to the full 20 minutes!

Robert

    Dear friends,
I thank Robert, Tom, Kul and all other friends who have empathized with the sufferings of my family, particularly Siamak. I also recall the collective efforts by all of you during the time of my own incarceration. Your collective and individual support has been a constant source of morale support to the whole Namazi family, for which we are forever grateful

A very sad situation. Praying for the release and home coming of Siamak and all those who are unjustly prisoned in this crazy world we live in today.
