FXB Climate Advocates - Fall Programme : Paula Claycomb

For your information and dissemination. I hardly know anyone under 25!
Paula

Editor's Note:  FXB USA is headed by our colleague, Bilge Bassani. She told us about FXB and its work on youth and climate issues, including the FXB climate advocates in her Quick Chat on June 14th

The FXB Climate Advocates program informs, empowers, and mobilizes youth to implement climate solutions in their communities and globally.

Apply today: https://forms.gle/mUkYouU89uGKS5Hk8

Through the program, global youth advocates-from across 20 countries- learn about the causes and impacts of climate change, explore the intersection between climate and health, consumption, and energy, and harness their passions to lead climate solutions in their communities.

FXB partners with multiple centers across Harvard University, the NYU Urban Health Lab, Citizens Climate Lobby, Forum2100, among other organizations to connect participants to leading climate experts and advocates.

Participants receive guidance and support to develop a climate action project in their community. Examples of climate action projects include planting trees, reducing electricity usage in schools, advocating for carbon pricing, starting municipal composting initiatives, leveraging Artificial Intelligence for climate advocacy, and replacing Styrofoam with sustainable reusable plastics in large school districts, among other incredible initiatives.

This is a free program, conducted virtually. Youth ages 13-25 are eligible to apply. No previous climate advocacy experience or knowledge required.

Program dates are: September 24, 2022-December 17, 2022.

All sessions take place on Saturdays from 10am-12pm ET.

The application deadline for the Fall 2022 cohort is September 12, 2022. Applicants will be notified by September 19, 2022.
