Portraits by George McBean

This week George McBean has shared a collection of his many portrait studies. They were done in an art group that he works with each week.

He prepares all his digital sketches done on an iPad in a programme called Procreate. Compared to the programmes available for animators and professional digital artist, Procreate is a relatively inexpensive drawing tool.  As you will have seen in the video on the cover of this week's Digest, the programme records stroke by stroke how you draw. It can help people develop their drawing skills and colour use for other traditional mediums such as oil painting or water colour. Try it out for yourself by sketching some of the people around you.  .

Several of the portraits below are of UNICEF and UN colleagues.   We have numbered each of the portraits.  Can you identify those which are of colleagues?   Send us your responses!  Our address is xunicef.news.views@gmail.com

We hear that George is offering a prize for the person who correctly identifies the most faces.
