Resting quietly in an unassuming glass cabinet in New York HQ, is one of the most cherished awards in our history – the Nobel Peace Prize!

As part of the continuing coverage of our 75 year history, former Director of Information, Jack Ling, 91, joins the For Every Child Podcast to share his first-hand account of receiving the award as part of our delegation to Norway in 1965.

Jack provides his unique insight into what winning the award meant for our reputation and brand.

“I think the Nobel Prize put UNICEF in a separate category from other UN agencies,” says Jack. “There were so many doing great work, but the award made it easier for us to get attention afterwards.”
