From Your Editors
No Update Next Week - We have been checking the calendar and see that time is short for preparing the March Quarterly which should go out on or around March 22nd. So we will not issue a Weekly Update next week. The next Weekly will therefore be on March 28.
The Website and the Daily Digest continue - we post each day on the website any articles you send us. So don't forget to check often during this period for news and the views of others.
Our Photographer of the Week - Tom McDermott
After university Tom began his career in Peace Corps in Rajasthan in 1967. He then went on to work for CRS in Indonesia and CARE in Bangladesh. He joined UNICEF in 1973 and served in Nigeria, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia India, and former Yugoslavia before coming to NYHQ as Director of Human Resources. His final post was as Regional Director in MENA. After retiring at the end of 2006, he worked several shorter assignments for UNICEF and UNFPA.
The photographs he shares with us this week are drawn from two of his collections - 'Doors' and 'Travels in the Desert', and include many from his travels around the western US, Spain and Morocco.
