Mark Malloch-Brown - UNU WIDER Annual Lecture UN at 75: slow death or new direction? : Janet Nelson

Editor's Note:  If you would like to skip over the introductions on the video, skip forward to where Mark Malloch-Brown's lecture begins at minute 7:00.

Mark Malloch-Brown gave a wonderful assessment of the UN, its history, and current challenges. He also mentions Grant twice. Perhaps worth including in the next newsletter?
Best wishes,
Janet

In this lecture Lord Mark Malloch-Brown delivers a new manifesto for the UN to recover relevance and become a valuable partner for change for a new generation. He was joined by discussant Natalie Samarasinghe, Chief of Strategy, UN75, providing insightful comments. This was followed by a Q&A session that led to many interesting discussions on the successes and failures of the UN, how progress on the UN Agenda 2030 can be achieved, and many other pressing issues.

For those who joined for the live event we apologise for the technical issues that impacted the quality of the stream during the first part of the event and hope you enjoy re-watching the lecture in this recording.

Kind regards,

UNU-WIDER
