Backsliding or Building Beyond Covid-19? An Introduction to the Resumed 73rd WHA

Online Event I 15:00 - 16:30 CET

Join us on 5 November 2020 for an introduction to the resumed 73rd World Health Assembly (WHA) hosted by the Global Health Centre and the UN Foundation. This briefing will offer an overview of the key issues facing the Assembly as well as WHA procedures and their implications, and explore how countries are balancing competing health priorities in the context of COVID-19. We will also reflect on the role of WHA as the annual arena in which major global health issues are put on the agenda, debated and decided. How well is the global health community governing itself?
