The recent message from our Executive Director comes at a time of uncertainty and concern for many of us. The financial constraints and funding challenges UNICEF faces impact not just our programmes but also our daily work, our sense of stability, and ultimately our morale.
As your Global Staff Association, we want to reassure you that we remain fully engaged in advocating for staff welfare and well-being during this difficult period. We will continue to actively monitor the situation, foster an open dialogue with senior leadership, and ensure that any cost-cutting measures are implemented transparently, fairly, and with the least possible impact on staff.
We understand that many of you may feel anxious about what lies ahead. Please remember that you are not alone. Life is a journey of challenges and triumphs, and while this is a challenging moment, we encourage open conversations, mutual support, growth mindset, and collective resilience as we navigate it together. Our strength as an organization lies in the incredible dedication of our staff, and we will continue to stand by you, voice your concerns, and ensure that staff well-being remains a priority.
We invite you to reach out to your Staff Association representatives with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Your voices matter, and together, we will work to ensure that our workplace remains one of solidarity, fairness, and commitment to our shared mission.
Let us be resilient, continue to support one another and keep our focus on what drives us : the vulnerable children and communities we serve . This challenging time will eventually pass, and together we will emerge from this stronger.
