XUNICEF Toronto Reunion : The Roaming Rhymer

It has been more than a 15 year wait,

From the Montreal Reunion to this date,
On the XUNICEF calendar to rotate
Reunions to Canada was the mandate.

The organizers are the "Toronto Triumvirate";
Nilofer, Mahendra and Mahboob is the slate,
Their efforts went bust during the COVID spate,
And organizing in a metropolis was difficult to operate.

Right from the starting gate,
They chose tourist items to accentuate,
Having to consider factors that alleviate
But also having to consider others as alternate.

The height of the summer season was the bait,
Otherwise the weather turns into one to hibernate,
Getting deals on visits was to hard to regulate
While ensuring that members do not prate..

Their aim was to get XUNICEF members to participate
In large enough numbers to validate
The tasks and items they would anticipate
Without making anyone, or some, to be irate.

A reunion of this measure is hard to curate
In a large city and a diverse group to regulate,
The changing paticipation list to tabulate,
And with the commercial partners to invalidate.

We are now on the cusp of the meeting date
Looking forward to all they were able to create
With over 65 participants on their plate
The Organizers can no longer but wait.

Our hopes are those at any rate
That the Reunion will end the debate,
Will Toronto be the meeting that was great
And will it succeed to make the members elate?

Some think in-person meetings must abate,
Our global XUNICEF inter-action to mutate,
While technology is helping things to dilate
We must consider the annual Reunions' fate.
