This week Luis Oliveros takes us on a visit to Jardin El Capricho (The Whimsical Garden) in Madrid and introduces us to the two black swans that used to live there. Luis also tells us of the "strange fantastic green light" that one sees in the park on cloudless days. Click here.
Our columnists
Ken Gibbs tells us about "Four and twenty blackbirds, baked in a pie" and introduces us, not just to the blackbirds, but also wrens of his garden, as seen through the eyes of his dog.
Ramesh Shrestha in Evolution of Well-being explains that the definition of wellbeing has shifted significantly over time, influenced by factors such as technological advancements, globalization, and economic changes. Given the complexities of defining and achieving wellbeing in today's world, we need a more holistic approach to well-being that considers both individual and societal factors.

Mini-Reunion
Baquer Namazi and Mary Racelis shared photos of the happy celebration when they and Ian Hopwood, Sheila Barry Tacon, and Victoria Quinn met for lunch at Victoria's home in Washington, DC. Along with the good food and good times, the group called on us all to do more to document our reflections on UNICEF's history and the roles we each played. We hope that more members will get together in such informal reunions and will send us their photos.
Meeting for the first time in 25 years, Bill Hetzer and Neill McKee share a photo of their get-together in Albuquerque
