New Book by Afghan XUnicef Colleague Samay Saquib

My colleagues know that I worked for nearly three decades with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Afghanistan with few short term Assignments in other countries. Since my retirement I was trying to record my experiences gained, stories and the lessons learnt during this period in the form of a book.

It is now my pleasure to inform that I finally completed this book (cover page attached) , and managed to print it during my visit to Kabul early this year.

The book is written in three parts including; 1. Stories and events separately under each UNICEF Representative (total 13); 2. Experiences gained, and lessons learnt; 3. My engagements and travels after retirement in 31 Dec. 2013.

A copy of the book was sent through one of my colleagues to UNICEF Representative Mr Tajudeen in Kabul. I also managed to give the book to few friends and family members in Kabul, Turkey and the United States. I will send one or two copies by post to UNICEF HQs, and also want to provide this book to Ex-UNICEF Representatives that I had worked with them. But how to reach them is maybe a problem.

The size of the book due to presence of so many photos is big, this makes it not possible to send by email or WhatsApp. I’m presently in Virginia-USA and will seek the support of an IT person to make the book fit for sending it through Email, so that all colleagues can get a copy.

Great to be in touch with you
