Fire Coming Down Taos Canyon on 10 May 2022

I am grateful to all those who responded so warmly to my "Where I Live" column last week. Unfortunately, since then, New Mexico has been on fire. The wildfires are horrendous already this summer, presaging a hot, dry and dangerous summer.

Here is a photo from our house a couple days ago.

And still Americans are more worried about inflation than about climate change...
