Seven children were killed and 38 injured in Lebanon in the 24 hours ending March 4, according to Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, as cited in an emergency report by UNICEF. The casualties came amid renewed Israeli airstrikes across multiple areas of the country following Hezbollah's rocket attacks on Israel in retaliation for the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In the same 24-hour period, nearly 60,000 people — including 18,000 children — were newly displaced, adding to tens of thousands already uprooted. More than 12,000 families sought shelter in over 300 centers nationwide, with dozens already at full capacity. UNICEF has deployed Rapid Response Teams to collective shelters and expanded its mobile Primary Healthcare Satellite Units to 37, providing consultations, immunizations, and urgent care to displaced families. Child protection teams are identifying and supporting injured, unaccompanied, and separated children. Emergency cash assistance is being prepared for up to 45,000 vulnerable families.
