Reflections So Far Received from Participants

Sam Fredricks Tanzania: Dear Susan we made it to Dar very early this morning after being "dragged out" of EHR screaming and kicking! Reason: we didn't want to leave beautiful Vic Falls!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the well planned and thought out program and the opportunity to reunite with old friends and colleagues and making new acquaintances. Once again a million thanks to you my sister and my brother, Muza for being such caring hosts. We are sojourning in Dar today and will leave our final destination to Arusha tomorrow. Till then take care and warm regards and best wishes to all our Vic Falls XUNICEF 2026 Reunion members.

Staneala Beckley, Sierra Leone: Dear Susan, I've just landed in Freetown after an interesting weekend with a friend in Addis. I will always remember our Zimbabwe reunion. It was a real labour of love and care. Many thanks also to Shearwater for a great partnership which made the reunion even more special. To our XUNICEF friends who entertained us at the dinner, we appreciate you and hope to see you at the next reunion, DV. Stay well, dear friends, until we meet again.

Solofo Ramaroson, Madagascar: Dear Susan, we are still spending a few days in Gaborone to visit people and places we left 27 years ago. Lalasoa and I are very grateful to you and your team for this unforgettable reunion: we enjoyed the wonders of Victoria Falls very much, all the activities that you have successfully orchestrated with Shearwater, as well as the opportunity to interact with other xunicef colleagues. Thank you for the flawless organization of the event. After this first experience, we are very eager to participate in the next reunion. We wish you all the best. Solofo

Milada Pejovic, USA: Dear Susan and dear XUNICEF family, Tom and I just arrived in NJ safely after spending three days in Cape Town where we bumped into Bianca and her crew while exploring Kirsten Bosch gardens. What a surprise! All in all, this was a once in a lifetime trip. It will take some time for all impressions and experiences to settle down. I want to send you Susan and all XUNICEF family a heartfelt gratitude from Tom and myself for all your labor of love that you put into making our reunion such a memorable event. I felt like I had never retired and that the ties with UNICEF were stronger than ever. I wish that everybody may be well and healthy until we meet again. Let's stay in touch.

Masood and Mah Jabeen, Bangladesh: Thanks very much indeed to Susan and the team, Noma and Shearwater. It was nice meeting dear Xunicefers and their spouses. We had a great time. Kindest regards and best wishes to all!

Hope to meet all of you at the next reunion!
