Attention Retirees in the UK - British Association of Former UN Civil Servants Benevolent Fund : Shared by Maie Ayoub
Dear All,
Maie Ayoub, a personal friend of mine, passed on your email contacts to me with regard to the BAFUNCS (British Association of Former UN
Civil Servants) Benevolent Fund.
In essence this Fund, of which I'm a trustee, dispenses financial assistance to people living in the UK who have worked for the UN and who have falled on hard times. As the enclosed explains, this can be in the form of a grant or loan, approved by the Board of Trustees.
One of the problems we are facing is publicising the very existence of the Fund (particularly given that's it's UK specific) and so are reaching out to UN Funds, programmes and agencies to see if they have a suitable publication which would carry such information.
Hence my communication.
I'm attaching an information note and a short flyer all about the Fund. There are also details of how to apply on the BAFUNCS website
Public Home Page - BAFUNCS
I hope you may be able to help in our endeavours.
Best Regards
Lynne
