Re-visiting Notre Dame: A New Look (by Myra Rudin)

Undoubtedly, we all read the grim news in 2019 when Notre Dame cathedral in Paris suffered a devastating fire. With over 2,000 craftsmen (and women) who worked to restore the damaged sections, the cathedral re-opened in December 2024.

It was a treat this past summer to walk through the now-gleaming iconic structure, (which is Paris’ most visited monument). Still, there were some bittersweet moments, remembering past visits of the “original” cathedral which had stood the test of time for over 850 years....
