Dear former UN Colleagues,

Many thanks to those 303 amongst us who have up to now signed the Call on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the UN Charter At this critical juncture  in human history, colleagues of all ranks, including those of Secretary-General and Director-General / President / Administrator, have come together in defence of the core constitutional document of civilized humanity. We have also benefited from the support of a large group of members of the Club de Madrid, as well as of other VIPs, as you can see on the dedicated web page: https://www.foggs.org/prg/call-un-charter-at-80/  We continue the collection of signatures till the 80th anniversary of the UN itself, on 24 October 2025, so please consider signing, those who have not yet done so, or solicit new signatures.

From the broader public, we have received some 630 signatures through the Avaaz petition but hopefully can get a lot more till UN Day -- do spread the word:
https://secure.avaaz.org/community_petitions/en/world_countries_and_leaders_un_officials_global_ci_reclaim_the_purpose_of_the_un_charter_80_years_on/

To commemorate this important UN Charter milestone and reinforce the Call,we are holding a special online event today, 26 June, at 9 am New York time:

We warmly invite you to join us in marking the occasion and continuing the effort to reclaim the purpose, principles and provisions of the UN Charter. Event registration link: bit.ly/UN-Charter-80thAnniversary
