Summary
The U.S. has abruptly cut 42 USAID-funded humanitarian programs, including major emergency food aid, as part of ongoing efforts by the Trump administration to dismantle foreign assistance. The World Food Programme warns the cuts could be a "death sentence" for millions, especially in conflict-affected countries. NGOs face layoffs and closures, while U.N. officials express alarm at the scale and suddenness of the funding halt.
