Staneala Beckley created a memorial to her daughter Renate, who sadly passed from a brain tumor when she was fifteen years old. Staneala lives in Freetown, and has been "Making a Difference" by supporting a local school with additional classrooms. The extension was inaugurated in January 2025 in spite of many obstacles. Evidently, teachers and students are happy!

ReplyDeleteUNICEF is to become "even more agile, focused and efficient". That sounds encouraging but may not by itself be sufficient to convince donors. Would it be possible to augment this by writing a short, easily understood report highlighting the organization's most significant, measurable and sustainable development achievements for children in Africa over the past 50 years? Perhaps, focusing on how much better off the children of today are compared with their parents and grandparents 50 years ago because of UNICEF's work.
