Walking to an appointment on 5th Ave, I suddenly found myself among thousands of merrymakers celebrating the annual (NYC) Mexican Independence Day parade. Impossible to walk the jammed main streets of the parade, I had to backtrack to find a street crossing over to 5th Avenue. I stopped once or twice to snap a photo of something colorful, but the strong midday sun darkened the screen of my cellphone so I really didn't see what got captured. This photo was pure luck; the first try was pure sky.....
