In this week's feature Gautam Banerji, recounts his unforgettable visit with Mother (Saint) Teresa in 1989 to deliver a message from Jim Grant. Several decades later, he travels to Skopje where he pays homage to her memorial. He shares highlights of the city seen during his visit.

Nuzhat Shahzadi tells us about a Netflix series ‘Secrets of the Blue Zones’, which are places where it is believed people live to be a 100 or more. She then transitions her thoughts to loneliness and aging, saying “Loneliness kills faster. James P Grant Award : Who said we cannot dream? Kul Gautam exuberantly announces the long awaited  James P Grant Award for Child Survival recently established by the Eleanor Crook Foundation a private philanthropic US based organization. Kul recounts an historical perspective when discussions on creating this award were initiated in 1995.  This award will remind us all of the legacy JPG left for the world's children.

According to many governments in the so-called Global South, Western states all too frequently deviate from their ostensible foreign policy principles or follow them inconsistently. Missing You - We join our colleagues throughout the UN system in mourning the two UNHCR staff members killed this week in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. Especially sad is the news that the young child of one of the staff members was also killed. Her husband and older son left in serious condition in hospital.

Gaza: The Principals of the Interagency Standing Committee (IASC) call for a sustained, immediate and unconditional ceasefire in a statement.
