COPEACE FOR CHILDREN

Towards a child friendly new world order with peace and justice for all

A commitment to create safe space for children all around the world

Lets join hands

Our Mission

COPEACE works on the following broad areas

Immediate Humanitarian Pause

Urge for a temporary suspension of armed conflict to allow humanitarian teams access to besieged areas.

Create “Corridors of Peace” to facilitate the delivery of life-saving services to children affected by armed conflicts.

Global Stakeholder Mobilisation

Mobilise Grassroot Communities, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Faith-based Groups, the Private Sector, Governments and the United Nations to unite in the cause for children’s safety and well-being.

Engage major national and international partners committed to protecting children in conflict zones.

Revitalisation of Immunisation Programs

Address the decline in regular immunisation programs for children due to conflict and significant health threats.

Urge combatants to open up Corridors of Peace for needed vaccinations and regular immunisation programs.

Empower Local Communities

Empower local groups, communities, and children themselves to work toward their survival, development, protection, and participation.

Institutionalise successful practices in collaboration with governments to ensure sustainability beyond political transitions.

Provide mentoring and guidance to organisations working in the areas for the protection of children in conflict zones.

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

Advocate for the provision of immediate and long-term mental health support to children in conflict zones.

Develop programs that offer psychological first aid and trauma-informed care to help children recover from the emotional and psychological scars of war.

Partner with mental health professionals and local caregivers to create a framework that supports children’s resilience and emotional well-being.

Training and Capacity Building

Strengthen the capacity of local organizations, caregivers, and frontline workers through targeted training programs that equip them to respond effectively to the unique needs of children in conflict zones.

Focus on building skills in trauma-informed care, child protection, education in emergencies, and the delivery of essential services.

Collaborate with international agencies to provide technical assistance and ensure that these initiatives are sustainable and adaptable to changing circumstances in conflict settings.
