Invitation for Canadian Members of XUNICEF to Join Forthcoming meeting with the new CEO of UNICEF Canada - 9 September : Niloufar Pourzand

Dear Canadian members of XUNICEF, hope you are well.
As some of you know, we had reached out to Sevaun Palvetzian, the new UNICEF Canada CEO, and suggested she meets us and had agreed such a meeting could happen at our place.
She has now confirmed that September 9 th at 3:30 pm at our house - 28 Greensides Avenue - works for her and Thierry Delvigne, her Chief Programme Officer.
The objective of the meeting is for us to meet her/them and for her/them to meet us and to get to know a bit about our UNICEF careers and current engagements/lives and for us to learn a bit more about UNICEF Canada’s priorities. Hopefully, such an encounter will strengthen our ties/contributions to UNICEF Canada’s work.
Please let me know if you are able to join us - from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal - by the 20 th of August (if not earlier) so I can make the arrangements at our place. Hopefully the weather will still be nice and we can sit outside.
If I have missed anyone in this email - please let me know - and I will pass it on to them as well.
Looking forward to welcoming you to this get together at our place in due course. Hoping all of you in Toronto can join us and hopefully also those of you in Ottawa and Montreal - though I know of course that it might not be possible for all of you.

Over the years, I have tried and faced only the cold shoulder, when I thought we could be useful -- even when I met UNICEF Canada staff in conferences etc. Once, I made what for me was a significant donation but really no follow up...I will try my best to make it..let you know closer to the time..Cheers..Samphe
ReplyDeleteHi Samphe, sorry to hear your experience has not been so positive to date. My experience has been somewhat different from yours over the years. Perhaps it helps that I am based in Toronto.
DeleteRecently, I was invited to a panel discussion they had and also was able to invite some of our XUNICEFers to join me.
In any case, Sevaun is young and dynamic and eager to learn and do well and it would be great if you could come. In the least, it will be a nice social exchange.
