Letter to the Secretary-General on Ukraine: Yoriko Yasukawa

Dear all,

The letter was sent to the SG´s office about an hour ago, with 208 signatures. Here is the letter with the list of signatories. Thanks to all of you who have supported this initiative! We will keep you posted of any response.

  1. Thanks for your timely & excellent initiative, Georgios & FOGGS.

    The final letter came out really well - positive, constructive & encouraging.

    Very impressive list of signatories representing a broad cross-section of former UN system staff, including quite a few highly regarded senior officials. Hope the SG and his team will feel encouraged to be bolder and more proactive.

    In his 2nd term, the SG has nothing to lose or fear, and much to gain in terms of his legacy by being more courageous in defence of the UN principles & ideals that we all cherish so deeply.

  6. Great initiative.constructive language but forceful recommendations. I wish I had known about it would have signed it. Fortunate, it is an impressive list as is. Bilge
