Carissimo Marco,

 

From your memoirs it appears

That you have today joined many peers

In attaining the venerable NINETY years!

 

With different and long careers

Through laughter and thru tears

Many forwards and some rears.

 

It is time, as say the seers

To celebrate, to reminisce , and have no fears.

A superstitious Greek would pull your two ears

But a true Venetian pops Champagne, not beers.

 

From a long distance we send you our CHEERS !

Jim Grant wanted to hire Madelaine Albright

He asked Marco if it was right.
MVC pored over her CV, she was quite bright
But one look at her photo's sight
And there was a definite fight
Between reason and sight.

What would be UNICEF's plight ?
The choice became quite tight.
Finally MVC told JPG," she is not quite
The material for our CSDR flight
Nor anything else we should bite."

And this is a definite cite !!
