Patricia's artistic inclinations surfaced only later in life, during her last decade in UNICEF. When she was transferred to New York City, she was inspired to pick up a paintbrush. She took watercolor courses after working hours, and from there transitioned to mosaics.
Her artistic career has included public art in several Chilean towns and cities, where she has over 50 murals, and where she taught local women and children. This no doubt was influenced by her UNICEF work. Recently she has dedicated her time to smaller-scale exclusive vitro mosaics.
She is a current member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) and the Contemporary Mosaic Artists. She spends her time between art studios in Santiago, Chile and San Diego, California.
Patricia suffered a stroke in late 2016, and has courageously worked her way back towards a full recovery and return to art.
