It is with heavy heart that we tell you that Robert’s dear wife Rachel died unexpectedly on 24 May in Manhattan. They had just spent a lovely late spring day with friends and strolling in the park, smelling the peonies in full bloom. Rachel suffered a fatal aneurysm when they got back to their apartment, where they live with her brother Jeff. Robert had only recently rolled back his work with Rain Barrel in order to spend more time with Rachel, anticipating many lovely years ahead.
Rachel, a spiritual person, was a nurse midwife and fighter for all good causes. A wonderful sister, mother and grandmother. A staunch supporter of Rain Barrel and one of our most valued advisors.
Robert is devastated but consoled and consoling with family and friends. He deeply appreciates your condolences and will respond when he can. Rachel will be cremated after three days, as she requested. A memorial service will be organized in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, Robert thinks that Rachel would be thrilled to know that donations were made in her name to UNICEF USA at https://www.unicefusa.org/?form=donate
Please join us in extending our deepest condolences to Robert and his family.
Stay safe and well,
All of us at Rain Barrel
Paul, Tomas, Waithira, Andrea, Nhi and Roberta
