Bill Foege Fireside Chat / Alan Court

Here is a Fireside Chat by Julie Jacobsen, the current President of the ASTMH, with Bill Foege yesterday. William Herbert Foege (born 1936) is an American physician and epidemiologist who is credited with "devising the global strategy that led to the eradication of smallpox in the late 1970s". ASTMH is the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

The chat lasts 30 minutes and has plenty of insights into Bill's thinking throughout his extraordinary career. Well worth watching and listening, not just for the doctors and public health professionals in XUNICEF but more generally for all of us: how to listen and learn.
