That's how many girls and boys suffer from violence every year.
Together to #ENDviolence, a global campaign and Solutions Summit Series, is here to change that.
Violence is an epidemic of abuse that undermines all other investments made in children, with devastating long-term consequences. Despite the scale and impact of violence against children – and the proven evidence-based solutions that exist – we still lack the political commitments and financial investments that are urgently needed to keep children safe at home, online, at school and within communities. And without the proper investment, the effects of violence against children will continue to cost up to 5% of the world's GDP.
On top of that, COVID-19 has increased children’s risk of violence in every country and community. As a result of the pandemic, 85 million more girls and boys may be exposed to physical, sexual and emotional violence. COVID-19 has also placed new pressures on both national budgets and international donors, jeopardising already-limited investments to end violence against children, along with years of progress. Without urgent, unified action, we could lose a generation of children to the lifelong effects of violence.
Together to #ENDviolence will inspire the end violence community and catalyse the political and financial commitments needed to end violence against children for good. As we enter the Decade of Action to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, this global campaign will accelerate action as the world builds back safer for children – during COVID-19 and beyond.
Together, we are a powerful partnership of nearly 500 organisations. Together, we are a part of the solution.
to prioritise ending violence against children during and after COVID-19.
AN INCREASE
in global and national financial investments to end violence at home, online, at school and in the community.
COLLABORATION & INCLUSIVITY
within government and across sectors to scale-up evidence-based solutions and action plans.
THE GOOD NEWS IS THIS.
There is a growing movement of organisations and individuals working together to end violence against children across the world. They are resolute in their belief that ending violence against children is right, because every child matters. That it is possible, because we know the evidence-based solutions that work. And that it’s a smart investment to make, because violence against children undermines all other investments made in children.
Through Together to #ENDviolence, partners from across the world will strengthen existing partnerships and forge new alliances. Together, we will leverage the diverse capabilities and networks of the growing end violence community. And together, we will elevate this issue to a global priority – and make sure political will and financial investments are proportional to the scale and impact of the problem.

INSPIRING WAYS TO END VIOLENCE: A NEW PODCAST SERIES
Is it actually possible to end violence against children?
In a new series from the End Violence Partnership, we explore the answer to that question by talking to those on the frontlines – the experts, researchers and world leaders that have dedicated their lives to keeping children safe.
INSPIRING Ways to End Violence Against Children will take you from Honduras, where two children are murdered every day, to South Africa, where in some districts, up to 99 per cent of children have experienced or witnessed abuse. By featuring the experts working on these challenges, this series will spread knowledge of what works to prevent violence – and ensure solving this problem remains a top priority for governments, communities and organisations across the world.
Join our host, Dr Catherine M Maternowska, as she speaks with these experts and illuminates what works to end violence against children. This podcast is part of the Together for #EndViolence global campaign and Solution Summit series.
Across the world, countless individuals are working around the clock to end violence against children, including children themselves. These inspiring people are the heart and soul of our movement, often working on the frontlines with limited resources.
As part of the Together to #ENDviolence global campaign, we are celebrating these individuals and the change they are helping to create. Through Q&A-style interviews, you will learn from practitioners, activists, researchers, policymakers and children about their successes, their challenges, and what they think is needed to end violence for good.
