The group also plans a Writing Competition on the theme of 30 years of Children's Rights for later this year.
Mrs. Christine Dietz, wife of the Mayor of Weil will also represent our group this week at the International Child Friendly Cities Summit. This summit was initiated by UNICEF in collaboration with the City of Cologne and involves delegations from 40 countries who will exchange ideas and practical measures to improve the lives of children and adolescents.
Finally, our group has been active in ensuring participation of the Children's Choir and arranging a children's music performance the annual "Stimmen (Voices) Festival" which takes place in Lörrach each summer.
Between June 27 and July 28, 2019, a total of 27 events took place. Nearly 29,000 guests attended the events of the 26th VOICE Festival, around 16,500 of which are marketplace concerts, despite the illness-related cancellation of Beirut, which reduced the planned five marketplace concerts to four. The utilization of the market place concerts in 2019 is thus one of the highest in the history of the festival. In addition, both around the market square in Lörrach and at the concerts in the Rosenfelspark numerous onlookers enjoyed the relaxed festival atmosphere in summery temperatures.
The 27th VOICE Festival will take place between 5 July and 2 August 2020. "Lörrach sings!" Meets the Lörrach city center on Saturday, July 11th with the singing, the concerts on Marktplatz Lörrach are scheduled between Wednesday, July 22nd and Sunday, July 26th.
