On October 10, 2019 UNSG Guterres visited UN agencies in Copenhagen, including the UNICEF Supply Division. He met with staff and had the opportunity to join the packing lines.
Out of a total $3.4 billion, UNICEF currently procures $ 1.5 billion annually on behalf of partners, including UN agencies and self-financing governments, for goods and services such as vaccines, water, sanitation and health supplies, multipurpose tents, power generation equipment, cash transfers and more. UNICEF is also leading freight forwarding service contracts on behalf of 12 other UN agencies.
