Anoja Wijeyesekera: In UK and family all well

Thank you so much for your kind email.  Yes, I am in the UK and was away on a retreat and did not access my emails.  Fortunately my family and friends and relatives in Sri Lanka are okay but  several  people who are known have lost their lives.  So sorry to hear of Nimal's relatives.  My sister's neighbour was also killed at the Shangrila, while having breakfast. He was a young Muslim business man with a family, who was well respected in the neighbourhood. 

The loss of so many innocent lives is such a tragedy and this whole incident is a huge blow to the whole of Sri Lanka.  The country was just beginning to pick up after being ravaged by 30 years of war and now this is a set back from which it will take a very long time to recover.
