Mini-Reunion in Malta - Sam Koo, Helene Gosselin, and Margherita Amodeo : Shared by Sam Koo

Three UNICEF colleagues reunite at a café in Valletta, Malta: (L to R) Samuel Koo, Helene Gosselin, and Margherita Amodeo. 

The reunion at Cafe Cordina on Helene's birthday was sparked by a Facebook connection between Samuel, visiting Malta with Helene at a mutual friend's invitation, and Margherita, a Maltese national. 

Both Helene and Margherita formerly served as chief regional information and communication advisors based in Abidjan.

    Lovely to see three friends from my UNICEF days blooming and enjoying one another's company! Lucky you, Helene and Sam -- Margherita welcomes friends with gratifying hospitality, as so many of us experienced when XUNICEF held its 2024 reunion in Malta.

    Not with one colleague, but two,
    Charming ladies , we all know who,
    And in Malta of all places too.
    Wonder what they had to do,
    Celebrating Helen’s birthday so true.
    With dear Muffy, a host that few
    Could rival as we all knew.
    Is Valletta the new XUNICEF venue?
    Where UNICEF HQ will move to?

      An anonymous Bard. Is it Fouad by any chance???? Yes, we celebrated Helene's special day. Such a treat to meet up so unexpectedly. UNICEF in Malta? I'm all for it.
