Photo of the Week - Spring and NY's Parade Season : Myra Rudin

Well, it's spring and with summer not far behind....it means the start of various parades marching along through Manhattan. 

Last Saturday was the Sikh Day Parade, and, like many times before, I got stuck on my way somewhere..... but also happy to get a few photos!

While attempting to cross the street amid the throngs of parade-goers, I spotted two boys chatting wearing colorful clothing and asked to take their photo. An older man marching nearby saw me, and began to abruptly call others similarly dressed, to join in. As I waited, the group kept growing in size until it reached that in the picture. The resulting photo turned out to be much more captivating!"
