Excellent photos! I went to Morocco last year but my pics don't look as good as yours!

Beautiful Morocco, Richard! When is an XUNICEF retiree there going to offer it as a future reunion site? We just did it in the Philippines and enjoyed meeting colleagues from around the world while proudly showing them our country. Wouldn't it be Morocco's turn soon to display its great history and the joys of today! Mary

Can someone please write the highlights in a word document as this video is not available in our location. Thanks.
Very useful. Thank you . But I miss it. How I can obtain a copy please?
This deserves a Ditty:
Oh! news comes from the senior most Abbot,
UNICEF has a new AI assistant, UNIBOT,
It is still not time tested, a real tot,
Barely out of the internal cot.
Please dont think that I am a sot,
And my brains are not totally rot,
But we expect that this is the new "Hot".
It will replace everything that is com.dot,
It will find itself a relevant slot,
Even if it is the simplest spot.
All information is now in the pot,
Dont even need a cue to jot,
What is relevant or what is not,
We must live through this whole lot,
It might be all that the Agency has got.

If you could make AI "Touch the Money", three-quarters of the staff could be laid off.

Who needs consultants, if UNIBOT (or CHATGPT) can do it for you for free?

AI learns every time a question is asked of it, explores new parameters on every topic. What is surprising (maybe terrifying) is that I asked the question about "the time-duration policy for UNICEF retirees before they can become individual consultants". It responded correctly 90 days (and even the special clause for Supply Staff). So it can acquire policy information from the intranet/sharepoint which is password protected (for us) and there may not be a need for HR policy referrals anymore.

And it is free

One can't help getting the impression that ChatGPT, when it comes to the gold standard benchmark CRC, does a better job than UNIBOT.

Country Offices already have a hard time reporting on their meaningful impact for children; that is why UNIBOT has been developed.

According to Chatgpt, UNICEF Country Offices in Africa seem to have some work lined up helping governments with their reporting.
Maria, why dont you also take photos of your and Ralph's collection and share them with our members ? Dont forget to add a short text to the photos to explain things.
Same response as to all of the other war crimes committed .. crickets.

A two mile shot on a UN guest house, one round an airburst over the patio, the second blows out the rear upstairs bedroom. Last week a three vehicle aid worker convoy was ambushed, passengers gunned down, then thrown in shallow graves and their vehicles crushed by likely armored vehicles. This is not random, nor is it undisciplined troops, this is targeted and intended for UN leadership. What is the response?

If this is correct, it seems that UNICEF could save some money.

Perhaps WHO's embrace of Traditional Chinese Medicine using animal parts, often of endangered species, might be an area where cost-cutting might be appropriate.
Some of these cost-cutting measures will help streamline WHO's bloated bureaucracy, but sadly some essential functions will likely be eliminated.

Along with drastic cuts in US CDC, NIH, USAID, GFATM, GAVI, etc. such cuts are likely to impact advances in global health negatively. Kul
I asked, "How many countries in Africa are up-to-date on their CRC reporting?" and I got no answer. Then, I asked ChatGPT the same question and got an answer.
They did at some point in distant past.

Indead, it is almost unbearable to see every day on TV what happens in Gaza. It became a mixture of exodus and genocide and the world looks on. Does anybody still believe that the israeli army is mostly killing Hammas fighters? What about the children in Gaza, who lost relatives in the endless bombardments? Are they not going to become the next generation of even fiercer fighters for a homeland? Unfortunately, the leaders of Israel and the USA are missing not only compassion but even more common sense.
Do these statements make any difference?
Wonderful recollection, Tony, and great souvenirs. I got a few myself and enjoy looking at them frequently and recollecting where they came from. We sure had adventurous lives.

As I read Tony Bloomberg's article, I can almost see myself bringing the reader around our house, weaving stories as we pass each artifact that Ralph Diaz and I collected over the years.. Those were good years to remember! Thanks for your article..
What a beautiful story woven to highlight UNICEF's extraordinary work and personal growth woven through rare art.
Congratulations!
