The Evolution of Lulu by Myra Rudin

It’s a bit jarring to walk down the street and suddenly see a head on a spike.Well, not a human head, but rather a mannequin’s head, but still.....

Days later, passing the same spot, I noticed Lulu (I’ve since named her) had changed – someone decided to place her head in a flowerpot, with some greenery and a boa scarf.... with the hope that she might grow into something more plant-like?

Still weeks later, Lulu remained behind bars, but now sporting a white, veil-like material...is marriage in her future?

Alas, months go by, and Lulu is gone. Hopefully, on her honeymoon....

Until one day, in a different location.....in a store window..... I see a familiar face...is that Lulu? Perhaps she received her “get out of jail free” card, and has now achieved fame and fortune, front & center once again.....

  1. Why an iron spike as a base?
It must be a new mystery case.
The head is definitely full of grace,
With it you scored an ace.
So pretty the head with a lace
But in what an odd place,.
She is an ideal of the human race,
Not a figure from outer space,
Nor a single flaw to trace,
But in the end, it is a different face !
