Congratulations to Siamak for his courage, resilience––while in captivity and while recounting his experiences at the interview. It brought back many memories. My dad (a military doctor ) was a POW in Pakistan during the war of liberation of Bangladesh. While serving in the Pakistani army, he was arrested and imprisoned for years because of his race––a Bengalee.
Congratulations to Siamak for his strength, courage and resilience while in captivity. I wish his interview was longer to get an insight as to what it was like being a prisoner and how he managed and coped with day to day living in prison. His interview brought back some memories for me as I was also kidnapped and held hostage for sometime in Ethiopia.
